Socra

Overview
Socra is a goal-driven work platform that merges project management, AI collaboration, and institutional memory into a single interface. Work is organized into Journeys, which are goal-scoped containers that hold Issues — the individual tasks, decisions, and actions tracked within each project. Both human and AI teammates can be assigned to Journeys, receive Issues in their inbox, and contribute to shared goals. The key differentiator is how Socra handles AI context. Rather than treating each AI conversation as isolated, Cortex — Socra's institutional memory engine — preserves decision history, context, and organizational knowledge across sessions. AI teammates remember what was discussed, which directions were rejected, and why specific choices were made. This makes the AI genuinely useful for ongoing projects rather than just one-off queries. Socra integrates major AI models including GPT-4o, GPT-5, Claude, and Gemini in a single workspace, so teams aren't locked into one provider. The free tier provides limited AI usage; Pro ($16/month, annual) offers 20x more AI capacity for individuals; Team ($16/seat/month, annual) scales to organizations of any size.

Best For
Teams that want AI assistants with persistent context rather than stateless chat sessions, Project managers overseeing complex multi-stakeholder initiatives with lots of decisions to track, Knowledge-intensive teams that need to preserve institutional memory as members join or leave, Organizations evaluating multiple AI models who want unified access without separate subscriptions, Scaling companies that need their AI tools to understand organizational history, not just current tasks
How It Works
Create a Socra workspace and invite your team members. Set up a Journey for each major project or goal — Journeys function like project rooms that contain all related work. Inside each Journey, create Issues to track specific tasks, decisions, or deliverables. Assign Issues to team members or to AI teammates, who have their own inboxes and can receive work assignments just like human collaborators. When you need AI assistance, open a conversation in the context of your Journey. Cortex pulls in relevant context from your organizational knowledge base — prior decisions, linked Issues, and historical discussions — so the AI responds with awareness of your specific situation rather than generic advice. The AI can draft documents, perform research, analyze data, and propose solutions. Structured reasoning tools guide complex decisions through root-cause analysis and hypothesis testing. Results and decisions are logged to the knowledge base automatically, building a searchable institutional memory over time.
