Overview
Briefy is a browser extension that summarizes webpages, YouTube videos, PDFs, and emails using AI. Instead of reading through lengthy articles or sitting through long videos, you get structured summaries in multiple formats, including overview, mind map, table, or timeline, with one click. The extension works on Chrome and Safari across desktop and mobile. A built-in Knowledge Base lets you save summaries for later, search through them, and share them with teammates or classmates. This makes Briefy more than a one-off summarizer and closer to a personal research library you build over time. Users at companies like Google, Meta, and ByteDance have adopted it for staying current with industry news and research without reading full documents. Multiple languages are supported, and summaries can be exported to Markdown, TXT, PNG, or CSV. The credit-based model keeps costs proportional to usage.

Best For
Researchers and students who need to process large volumes of articles, papers, and videos quickly, Professionals at fast-moving companies staying current with industry news, reports, and lengthy documentation, Content creators building a research library of summarized source material for scripts, articles, or social posts, Teams sharing curated summaries of reports and competitor analysis without everyone reading the full originals
How It Works
Install the Briefy extension in Chrome or Safari. When you land on a webpage, article, PDF, or YouTube video, a Briefy button appears. Click it and the extension sends the content to Briefy servers, where a large language model processes it and returns a structured summary. You choose the summary view: overview gives a high-level digest, mind map visualizes relationships between ideas, table organizes information into rows and columns, and timeline arranges events or steps chronologically. After generating, you can ask follow-up questions about the specific content you summarized. Summaries save automatically to your Knowledge Base when signed in. From there you can search all past summaries, revisit source content, and share specific summaries via link. Exports are available in Markdown, TXT, PNG, and CSV formats for use in other tools.
